A Little Sparrow’s Song

This creative writing piece was created during the pandemic a couple months before I was accepted into the PhD program. It would later serve as the inspiration for the illustrations for what has now become the first draft of a children’s book.

While the creative audio is an idealist view of nature, where self doubt or jealousy doesn’t exist, and creatures just know their worth and live their purpose… this children’s book aims to trouble this notion of nature’s creatures as infallible to self-doubt. After all, humans are also natures creatures.
